Nestled comfortably in the higher altitudes of the mountains in and between Santa Cruz, Machico, and Funchal, the lush and mature gardens enchant all the guests. It has often been said that a holiday stay at the Quinta Santo António da Serra is a rejuvenating experience.

Today the estate has been developed to accommodate visitors too. Several new chalets or self-catering semi-detached cottages have been built in the immense gardens of the estate to help accommodate more and more visitors to the popular village of Santo António da Serra. Especially sought after by visitors to the island who have heard about the beauty of Santo António da Serra’s surroundings and excellent levada walking starting trips.

A wealth of floral diversity, an abundance of trees - including many oak trees, a cornucopia of fruit orchards, a thriving market on the weekends in the village, a great golf course nearby, and the sober discreet village homes that blend so well into the bucolic pastures of Madeira’s lovely countryside are all elements that help insure a calm and relaxing holiday for our esteemed guests.

All the self-catering apartments or chalets are independent units. That is, each apartment has its own entrance and is separated from any other for privacy.
Some are joined together while some are two units together or alone.
