Quinta Fajã is a large garden estate in Funchal with a view out to the bay and the city centre of Funchal. There are four lovingly converted cottages that were in their past lives barns or wine cellars. Several other buildings are on the property too. Including the main residence house (not for rentals), barns and storage facilities for the agriculture that is still operated on the property. Wine and vegetables are grown on the property. The size of the property means there is a cornucopia of different types of plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables on the property. Indeed, upon request, guests can be afforded the pleasure of enjoying vegetables handpicked from the vegetable gardens itself!

Each of the cottages follow a theme as can be seen from the photos of the corresponding units. A Doll’s house looks like a doll’s house. The wine lodge is the converted - you guessed it - wine lodge. The garden cottage is situated on a garden terrace with its own grass garden area. The stone cottage is the unit with its own private splash pool and ample garden space. It is also located on the highest part of the property and enjoys maximum privacy.
