AMAZING PLACE!
We had the most relaxing holiday ever staying at Quinta das Vinhas. We chose to book a cottage instead of the Guest house. It was a difficult choice! We enjoyed exploring the grounds of the Guest house which are truly spectacular.
All of the staff were extremely helpful and genuine. They really cater for the guest with the attention to detail they provide. The bread roll delivery to the cottage each morning was a lovely treat and we looked forward to starting each day with a selection of fresh bread rolls for breakfast.
Quinta das Vinhas provides real value for money without cutting corners.
We loved going to Calheta during the day for swimming and its sandy beach and also in the evenings for some good food.
We cannot wait to return to Maderia!
REAL NICE PLACE!
We stayed here for one week and had a real relaxing time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We rented one of the bugalows (appartment), equipped with a simple kitchen and bathroom, but all essential things were there. We had a chimney and used it on almost all evenings, as the small electric heater was not sufficient on some days. We orderd breakfast in advance, but actually it was not worth it, because it consisted of a starter package of butter, jam, 1l milk, 2l jiuce and otherwise 6 roll delivered every morning - so anyway we had to buy stuff for breakfast. (There was a small minimarket just some steps away and a supermarket close to Calheta Beach hotel.) Also the dinner was not really worth it. Just the international atmosphere in the dining room was nice. So don’ book it in advance, it can be booked on site on the same day you want to take it. Otherwise: Roca Mar close to Calheta Beach is a real good food place.
