The Apartments are located across the road from the Santa Catarina Park, where you can sit and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet as well as the views. This is one of Funchal´s largest public gardens.

It is rare nowadays to find small, but friendly self-catering accommodation in Funchal, so imagine our surprise when we were introduced to these newly refurbished apartments in the heart of Funchal. Situated on the Avenida do Infante, these apartments are just opposite Funchal’s popular casino and a hop, skip and a jump away from the marina, the sea and the town’s Santa Caterina park with its profusion of blooms and exotic trees.

The exterior fits in with the older, traditional houses on the Avenida, and behind the bright outside lies a tasteful, clean interior decorated in a modern style with pictures and stylish furniture dedicated, in part, to the Spanish artist, Juan Miro. There are 15 apartments in total with either balconies facing the Avenida or windows facing the rear.

With the whole of Funchal at your fingertips it is by no means necessary to hire a car, but should you wish to extend your exploration, then a car can be delivered to the apartments for you and there is a small underground car park. Parking at the Avenue Park Apartments is free of charge!
